Steve Muir

Steve was the leader of our local group in Christchuch for many years and is still involved there but has passed on some of the leadership responsibility to Sylvia Purdie. Steve lives in central city Christchurch with his wife and four children. He works at Christchurch Hospital in the Medical Physics and Bioengineering Department and attends the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church. He has a keen interest in sustainable transport – involvement in cycling advocacy; providing free bikes and bike maintenance for people on low incomes in the east of the city through ICECycles; and designs and builds bike trailers & cargo bikes. Steve has been involved in pest control in Kennedy’s Bush for 10 years and also enjoys a little gardening in his own small back yard and at a local community garden. He also loves getting out kayaking, tramping, and of course, biking!

Please see here for more information about the Christchurch local group, or email [email protected] to get in touch with Steve.
